With LSG winning the toss and deciding to bowl. CSK’s opening pair played well in the powerplay but couldn’t last long as Gaikwad went in the third over on a clumsy runout. But vintage Uthappa playing his class with Moen Ali set the tone for the side. Robin made an explosive half-century in just 27 balls with the steady assistance of Ali who made 35. CSK wickets kept on falling at regular intervals but this couldn’t hamper their run rate. Shivam Dube’s 49 and Rayadu’s 27 made CSK sail through the middle overs. With Skipper Ravindra Jadeja’s and Ex. Skipper Dhoni’s last-minute heroics, CSK set the target of 211 runs for LSG.

With a massive target onboard and an asking rate of over 10 the SuperGaints had a huge job in hand. The LSG openers Rahul and De Kock gave a dream run to LSG adding 99 run partnership. The team lost its first wicket, of their Skipper in the eleventh over. And the next wicket in the twelfth. De Kock too departed at 61. With the due kicking in, the latter part of the innings was headed by Evin lewis who made an unbeaten 55 runs in just 23 balls passing the role of finisher for the team with flying colours.
