Indian cricket players’ salaries | How much salaries do Indian Players Get?

Over the period of October 2020 to September 2021, BCCI contracted 28 players in the retainer list. Players in the list are divided into four categories namely, A+, A, B and C. # Grade A+ (7 crores a year)

Grade A+ categories are the richest category in the salary list. 7 crore is the salary for Grade A+ players. Only 3 player falls in A+ category for the year 2020-21.

Incentives by BCCI to Indian Cricket players

Not only salary but Indian cricketers also get incentives for their performance. An Indian cricket player is paid Rs 15 lakh for an International Test match, Rs 6 lakh for an ODI and Rs 3 lack for every T20I as match fees. Players who are not part of playing 11 earn 50% of the match fees. Further, a player is paid Rs 7 lakh for scoring a double hundred, 5 lakh for a century, or a five-wicket haul. All these amounts are paid in form of bonuses and are not a part of the fixed yearly salary.

Players who got newly added or removed from BCCI’s yearly contract

Shubman Gill, Mohammad Siraj and Axar Patel were awarded in the form of inclusion for their excellent performance throughout last year. However, Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav were not provided with a BCCI contract for the year 2020-2021.
