Cristiano Ronaldo at the age of 37 is surely the top performer in a disastrous Manchester United team. The United legend has 18 Premier League goals this season behind just Mo. Salah and Heung Ming Son as they have scored 22 and 19 goals respectively. His return to United has not gone well as the results are not up to the mark as the board and the fans of Manchester United were expecting. They are currently at 6th place in the Premier League table with 58 points and with just 2 games to go, they are unlikely to finish in the top 4 and hence lose their Champions League spot.

Ronaldo signed a 2-year contract with Manchester United last summer after he left Juventus for a transfer fee of 13 million euros. He also has an option to extend it for a year. But since his arrival, United have been absolutely inconsistent throughout the season which has left the future of Ronaldo uncertain along with his other teammates too like Pogba, Rashford etc. This situation has arrived as it is widely reported that after the appointment of Erik Ten Haag, Manchester United could go into a total rebuild of the squad. But if Ronaldo would want to leave this summer, he’ll surely be in the list of many clubs. The English media are reporting that his former club Real Madrid are dreaming to reunite Ronaldo with their club and have a terrifying front 3 of Ronaldo-Benzema-Mbappe.
He scored an outrageous 450 goals in 438 appearances when he was playing for the Spanish club. He also won 15 trophies along with 4 Champions League with Los Blancos. Of course Madrid’s priority is Mbappe but they know that the financial aspect of the Ronaldo deal is not astronomical as compared to Mbappe cause they could get the Portuguese for a fair 10 million euros as a transfer fee due to his age. But it is still not ruled out that Ronaldo stays at United for another season so that he could help the youth during the rebuild of the team. All in all, it is seen that it will be a huge summer transfer window for Manchester United.
