The IPL auctions has been the talk of the town since forever. Now the mega auctions have finally come to play. The auctions are taking place in Bengaluru. A lot of changes in teams and dynamics is taking place already and there are a lot to go. A mega-auction like this is taking place after a decade. There are going to be a lot of shift in things from now on. One of them is Pat Cummins sold to KKR at 7.25 crores.

The bidding competition started early and there is a presence of a tough fight between the bidders for every player. Shikhar Dhawan was the first player to open the bid and Punjab Kings bought him. Followed by other players like R Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Quinton de Kock, etc.

Kolkata Knight Riders took the Australia’s Test cricket skipper, Pat Cummins for Rs 7.25 crore on Saturday at the IPL 2022 auction in Bengaluru. Previously, he was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders and he continues to remain a part of the Kolkata family. The all-rounder has done an amazing job with both bat and ball. And will continue doing so.

Kolkata Knight Riders submitted the first bid of Rs 2 crore, followed by Gujarat Titans. Before KKR edged it out, Lucknow Super Giants entered the contest. They started pushing the price past Rs 7 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders signed Cummins for Rs 15.5 crore. After a bidding war with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the 2020 auction. He became the most expensive overseas buy in IPL history. Cummins had pulled out of the second leg of the IPL 2021, which begins on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates. Cummins had played each of KKR’s seven games in the first half of last year’s IPL in India, picking up nine wickets and scoring 93 runs, including a career-best 66 not out against Mumbai Indians.
