Padikkal smashed an unbeaten 101 in an opening stand of 181 with Kohli as RCB registered an emphatic 10-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals.

8.Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson – 181* CSK vs KXIP(2020)

CSK openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis, two veterans formed an incredible unbeaten opening partnership of 181 runs, successfully chasing down a decent target of 179 in just 17.4 overs without losing a wicket. They scored 181 runs in which Shane Watson scored 83* runs and Faf Du Plessis scored 87 runs, which helped them enter the list of Top 10 Biggest IPL Partnerships

7. Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn – 184* KKR vs GL(2017)

In the first Inning, Gujarat Lions (GL) set a good target of 184 runs but the real party began in the second inning where the KKR opening pair Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn vandalized the GL bowling lineup. This partnership solely achieved the target of 184 runs with ease. In which Chris Lynn barely missed his century at 93* runs and Gautam Gambhir scored 76 runs.

6.David Warner and Jonny Bairstow -185 RCB vs SRH(2019)

Warner and Bairstow made the history of partnership in the 2019 IPL. The pair scored 185 runs on 2nd wicket. In which Jonny Bairstow made his first IPL Century 114 runs and David Warner also hit a century with 100 runs. They won this match with a huge margin of 118 runs.

5. David Warner and Naman Ojha – 189* Deccan Chargers vs Delhi Daredevils(2012)

Warner with the support of Naman Ojha took their team to victory against Deccan Chargers (DC) in 2012. It was one of most nail biting run chases where they both made a partnership of 189* runs. David Warner played a blistering knock of 109* runs and Naman Ojha scored 64 runs. And chased the target of 187 runs in just 16.4 overs.

4.Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli – 204* RCB vs DC(2012)

The destructive batting pair of IPL hammered a mammoth total of 215. They scored 204* runs in which Chris Gayle scored 128 in 62 balls and Virat Kohli scored 73 in 53 balls. Delhi competed but fell short of 21 runs as their innings ended on 194/9.

3. Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh -206 RCB vs KXIP(2011)

Gilchrist and Marsh’s explosive innings rank third in most run partnerships. Scoring 206 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2011 edition in which Adam Gilchrist scored 106 runs and Shaun Marsh scored 79 runs. KXIP scored 232 runs and won the match comfortably. As RCB got all out in 17 overs for 121 and entered the list of Top 10 Biggest IPL Partnerships

2. Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers – 215* RCB vs MI(2015)

In this partnership, Virat Kohli scored 82 runs and AB De Villers hit 133 runs.They made a 2nd wicket partnership of 215* runs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL (2015). MI made a comeback of 196 but fell short of 39 runs.

1. Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers – 229 runs RCB vs GL(2016)

The duo played an inning which is one of the most famous. And still is greatest partnerships of all time. They broke their previous record of 215* runs and broke every record of partnership in IPL history. They both hit their centuries in which Virat Kohli made 109 runs in 55 balls. AB De Villers made 129 runs in 52 balls. And made the match totally one sided.
