And then followed the successive collapse of KKR wickets. RCB bowlers were a nightmare for the nights as Wanindu Hasaranga bagged 4 wickets, Akash Deep grabbed 3. Harshal Patel and Mohammad Siraj took 2 and 1 wickets respectively. The highest individual score of KKR’s innings was hit by Andre Russell which was 25 runs and Umesh Yadav‘s last-minute stint with the bat took KKR’s score to 128 runs. With 129 to achieve in 20 overs, RCB look in a very comfortable position. But Cricket being an unpredictable sport was once again proved. In the very first over RCB lost its first opener. Second over RCB skipper, Faf du Plessis got cleaned up by KKR’s Tim Southee. Virat Kohli fell prey to Umesh Yadav in the next over. RCB was 17/3 in 2.1 overs. But David Wiley and S. Rutherford changed RCB’s fate. Wiley got out in the 12th over and Shahbaz Ahmad took up his obligation and took the team near the victory mark. Dinesh Karthik made the winning runs with a boundary. It was never the KKR’s game with that total but kudos to them to make RCB sweat for every run.
