CSK denies Ravindra Jadeja’s trade to Delhi Capitals and others

It’s a lot building up for the world’s biggest cricket league, the Indian Premier League, next season. Franchises are doing all the permutations and combinations to get the best players onboard. If sources are to be believed, the Chennai SuperKings franchise has rejected all the offers made by the franchises like Delhi Capitals and others to trade Ravindra Jadeja. The earlier series of events suggested Ravindra Jadeja leaving Chennai Super Kings following a fallout. But new developments appear to have shed some light on the actual situation.

Shubman Gill has also been in the limelight recently in addition to Jadeja, as the IPL 2022 champion franchise tweeted.

“It’s been a journey to remember. We wish you all the best for your next endeavour, @ShubmanGill!”.

With the IPL 2024 dealing window being open, this cryptic tweet raised the question of whether Gill had been traded to another franchise.

“Recent reports even suggested a trade between CSK and Gujarat Titans for Jadeja and Shubman Gill. Both the franchises have denied the trade-off categorically to Cricbuzz,”

“There have, however, been requests for trade for Jadeja from a couple of other teams, Delhi Capitals being one of them. But the CSK management has told Cricbuzz that they hav no plans to part with the all-rounder, arguably one of the best in the world.”

Rahul Tewatia and Sai Kishore appeared to have garnered interest among the other IPL franchises. But the Gujarat franchise has also denied dealing off any players as of yet. The report further stated that Jadeja had been contacted by Delhi Capitals.

“Besides Jadeja, Cricbuzz understands that Gujarat Titans have got requests for trade for Rahul Tewatia and R Sai Kishore but the IPL champions have declined the offers. The transfer/trade window will remain open till one week before the auction and will re-open after it,”

Jadeja’s injury, makes him miss T20 World Cup

In the middle of the Asia Cup 2022, Jadeja sustained a shoulder injury that required surgery; he was then unable to compete in the remaining matches. The left-handed player was left off the T20 World Cup 2022 roster because he requires time to recover from surgery and has been under the care of the Indian medical staff.
