Poland is a very decent team and has lacked fire power in terms of quality players. As of today, they do have some big names like Robert Lewandowski and keeper Wojciech Szczesny. Poland has qualified for the World cup on eight occasions including Qatar 2022.
Poland first qualified for the 1938 World cup where they had their fair share of moments but eventually lost to Brazil in a 5-6 thriller. Then it took them 36 years to qualify for their next World Cup in 1974 for which they defeated former Champion England in the qualification round. Poland saw some successful moments as they finished 3rd in 1974 and 1986 editions of the tournament. However, since then the Polish national side has seen horrifying decline and lost all momentum. Since then, Poland have qualified for the world cup in 2002, 2006 and 2018 but have failed to impress.
Under the leadership of Robert Lewandowski, can Poland go deep into the knock out stage or will they fail to even qualify out of the group? Only time will tell. Nonetheless if players like Lewandowski, Zielinski and Szczesny can carry the team together then Poland can surely leave a mark in Qatar.
