Warner started off his campaign slow but he gradually got the hang of it as the tournament progressed. Proving the doubters and critics wrong, Dave scored an impressive 289 runs in 7 innings. He played a quintessential role with the bat behind Australia lifting their first-ever T20 World Cup. Pakistan star Babar Azam claimed the honor of scoring the most runs at the 2021 T20 World Cup. The Pakistani skipper was a crucial cog in the Pakistani batting unit and scored a majority of the runs with fellow opener Mohammad Rizwan. Despite playing a match less than David Warner, Azam has scored a whopping 303 runs in 6 matches.
