Jos Buttler, continuing his sterling form hit his third century of IPL in the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. This is Buttler’s second century of the season. He reached the three-figure mark with a maximum in the 17th over of Pat Cummins. But Cummins had the last laugh as he managed to send away Buttler in the same over. But Buttler seemed content as he had already done his job and went back with a big smile on his face.
The England keeper batter reclaimed his Orange Cap which he lost to Hardik Pandya in his last match. In the six games so far Buttler has hit 2 centuries along with a pair of half-centuries. In his fiery inning of 103 runs in 61 balls Buttler fired 9 boundaries and 5 massive sixes.

Buttler Joins An Illustrious Batting List with his ton
The 31-year-old Buttler is now the sixth batter to score multiple hundreds in a single IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ex skipper Virat Kohli heads the list with four centuries in the 2016 edition. Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Shane Watson and Shikhar Dhawan are the other four batters to have multiple IPL tons to their name. All have got two centuries each with Dhawan being the newest entrant to achieve the milestone in 2020. While Shane Watson and Hashim Alma had achieved it in 2018 and 2017 editions respectively. Chris Gayle had hit two hundreds back in 2011 while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
