Sasha Banks Challenges Kairi Sane
Kairi Sane carried out a successful title defense against Tam Kamano. Sane had successfully retained her IWGP Women’s Championship. That is when the unthinkable happened. Sasha Banks came out to confront the IWGP Women’s Champion. But Banks was unrecognizable from her WWE persona. This was her first wrestling appearance in over eight months.

Mercedes is now performing under the ring name of Mercedes Mone. Her ring gear and appearance has been altered as a consequence. Mone would proceed to have the last laugh and challenge Kairi Sane to a match with the IWGP Women’s Championship on the line, next month at San Jose. Bad Blood With WWE
Sasha Banks walked out of the WWE along with tag team partner, Naomi in May, 2022. The duo walked out of a live taping of Monday Night Raw. Suitcase in hand and titles reportedly left behind on John Laurinaitis’s desk, Banks and Naomi left the building. The WWE publicly termed their behaviour as ‘unprofessional’. The duo left as they felt undervalued in the WWE and thought that they deserved more respect, better pay and creative booking. Sasha Banks and Naomi were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at this point. Gratitude On The Way Out
Fans speculated that Banks had moved on when she took to Twitter before the Wrestle Kingdom show. She thanked the WWE, William Regal, Triple H, Vince McMahon and her fans in separate tweets as she embarked upon a new journey.
