Deshaun Watson is hoping to play alongside his ex-partner in crime, DeAndre Hopkins this season. The Browns quarterback has previously lit up the National Football League with the Houston Texans.
The good old days
If we go by the words of Watson, it seems, he is in awe of the good old days with “D-Hop”. The 27-years-old quarterback had a word with media at the Browns charity golf outing. He admitted to anticipating the possibility of a reunion with Hopkins at Cleveland. Watson praised his ex-teammate & said, “He just makes the throws a lot easier. His range, catch radius is super. It’s probably the best in the NFL. Just the things he can do, he just made my job a lot easier. I just put the ball in his direction. He made the plays.”
Although Watson didn’t drop any hint of the possibility of his reunion with the wide receiver but accepted to love it, if it happens. He also added to look forward to see what happens & let Browns GM Andrew Berry to do the talking.
The Duo from the past
The duo of Deshaun Watson & DeAndre Hopkins could be a real possibility again. The Browns Deshaun Watson could be joined by free agent DeAndre this season. DeAndre has been released by Arizona Cardinals last Friday & is currently a free agent. The 30-years-old former Cardinals wide receiver has spent three seasons with Watson at Texans Houston. The pair has teamed up 38 times together for Huston in the past where they’ve combined for 25 touchdowns & 3,433 yards. In addition to that, DeAndre made it to the Pro Bowl in each of the year at Houston.
The duo certainly had some chemistry between them. The inclusion of DeAndre in the Browns squad would definitely be a huge boost for their NFL 2023 season Super Bowl hopes.
