RR’s social media admin after a major controversy erupted following their tweet which didn’t go down well with the team’s captain Sanju Samson. The franchise also put out a statement announcing the change, with the ‘RR admin’ being quite popular on Twitter. The Royals skipper objected to one of the posts on social media and it was deleted later. The RR management swiftly dismissed their team.

The Chain of Events
On Friday, this Sanju Samson vs RR Controversy happened. Rajasthan Royals took to social media and shared a clip of Sanju Samson, with the RR captain’s appearance morphed featuring a turban and jewellery.
Samson, however, took offence for the same and tweeted his displeasure for the same. The tweet was soon deleted by the RR franchise. But the matter only got worse as Samson registered an official complaint with the team management.

SAMSON WROTE AND UNFOLLOWED THE ACCOUNT
Samson’s complaint was taken into account and RR CEO Jake Lush McCrum held talks with the social media agency, before firing them. RR also released a statement, announcing that they will change direction in their approach to digital media, following the controversy.
The release further stated that all was well within the squad, and the appointment of a new social media team will happen in due course.
