RR vs GT: Live Score and Update

RR vs GT: GT have smacked RR!

The Titans have decimated the Royals. Hardik Pandya entered and struck Adam Zampa for 24 runs to extinguish any comeback hopes for the Royals. His blinder has taken the Titans to a huge victory. GT beat RR by 9 wickets with 37 balls spare. A massive result is this for IPL 2024. KKR, SRH, PBKS and DC would now believe they have a great shot at making it to the top 4 now. RCB MI would be eyeing to enter the top four tomorrow. And the Titans may have just booked their play-off spot with this thumping win. There are very high chances of them finishing in the top 4 irrespective of how their remaining matches pan out. But they would like to strengthen their place in the top 2. RR has now slipped to their fourth loss in their last five games. They need to buck up or else they might find themselves in elimination territory!

RR vs GT: GT in firm control!

The Royals got what they needed desperately. A wicket, with Shubman Gill being stumped off Chahal. The game is still open, RR spinners will be bowling 8 out of the remaining 10 overs. The worry for them would be that Zampa has looked off-colour. Ashwin is yet to bowl an over. What is Samson thinking here? GT are 72/1 after 10 overs. Need 47 runs from 60 balls.

A lot riding on this game. If RR lose tonight, it increases the qualification chances for bottom-placed teams. It would also give MI and RCB a chance to enter the top four. Remember their NRR is also going to take a hammering if they go down. If they somehow manage to win, they’ll get themselves out of the 10-point log jam! Sadly for Royals, this scenario has very less chances of happening and they may be staring at their fifth loss of the season.

RR vs GT: RR fail to pick a wicket in the powerplay!

Rajasthan Royals would have liked a wicket at least in the powerplay but have failed to pick one. In their entire innings, RR hit 9 boundaries. GT have already equalled that in the powerplay. The powerplay was bowled by Boult and Sandeep. Has Samson made a grave error by not bowling Ashwin in the Powerplay? Apart from the toss, nothing has gone the way of the Royals tonight. GT are 49/0 after 6 overs. They need 70 runs in 84 balls. Royals and Samson would desperately hope their spinners pull something magical.

Impact Player (GT): Titans have substituted Mohit Sharma and Shubman Gill is the Impact Player!

RR vs GT: RR bundled-out!

Royals posted the highest first-innings score at Jaipur in their last game here, They have posted their lowest first-innings total this time. The Royals Innings went bad from worse. The Titans bowlers have feasted on the Royals tonight as they are bowled-out for just 118. Both captains didn’t know how the pitch would play. There was too much uncertainty but it has played well for Titans so far!

The target for Gujrat Titans is 119 runs from 120 balls. This should be an easy chase, but it’s cricket. The game is very funny and unpredictable. Both teams would know what happened to the Titans in their last game. There is some help for the bowlers and the Royals have one of the best bowling line-ups in the tournament. With their play-offs chance in jeopardy, expect them to come out firing!

RR vs GT: RR 100/8 after 15 overs

Rajasthan Royals have also lost Shimron Hetmyer as Rashid Khan ends with a 3-fer. Trent Boult and Adam Zampa are at the crease. Titans would look to knock over the tail quickly whereas Boult and Zampa would look to play out the remaining overs and get as many runs as possible. Looking at the ball turn, anything above 130 can prove a fighting score! Let’s see how the final phase goes!

Noor traps Jurel!

Jurel prods forward down the wrong line and is hit on the pads stretching forward. He reviews it straight-away without any hesitation. The DRS shows three reds on the ball-tracking and hence he’ll have to walk back. They are at risk of being bowled-out.

Padikkal gone!

Devdutt Padikkal plays down the wrong line and loses his off-pole. A mirror dismissal of Rashid dismissing Ashiwn. Noor Ahmed has picked the wicket and Royals are in complete disarray now. They lose their sixth-wicket.

RR vs GT: Royals lose half their side!

Rajasthan Royals have fallen deeper. Their impact player has to walk back because a Rashid Khan googly has trapped him in front of his wicket. Royals reviewed in desperate hope of something saving Parag but DRS shows three reds. This would be a big blow for RR who sacrificed a bowling option and a gun-fielder to get Parag as an impact player. RR are 72/5 after 10 overs and need a partnership desperately!

The Impact Sub makes his way out!

Rashid Khan has knocked over R Ashwin who had no clue of where the ball was. So the plan to send Ashwin up to stretch out the batting lineup fails and RR lose their fourth. This has forced the Royals to sub-out Yashasvi Jaiswal for Riyan Parag who enters as an impact player. He comes out to bat straightaway at no.6. This substitution will limit RR to only five bowling options now. They would hope Parag delivers with the bat for them.

Samson walks back!

Sanju Samson has thrown his wicket away after looking promising in his innings. A disappointment for RR and every cricket fan, seeing him fail to convert yet another start. He shuffles across and looks to flick. Wonder why he did that because the left-armer’s angle across RHB is anyway going to make it tougher. He gets a leading edge and the ball swirls in the air to cover where Hardik takes the catch! Rajasthan lose their third wicket.

RR vs GT: A decent powerplay!

Rajasthan Royals have brought up 50 runs in the powerplay but Gujrat Titans have managed to pick 2 wickets. The recent one to depart was Jaiswal who was indulged in a classic Yes-No situation with the skipper, eventually losing his wicket to a run-out at the non-striker’s end. There was a misfield while Manohar put in a dive to stop the ball, but the misfield ricocheted to Mohit Sharma who fires a throw to Rashid Khan. Unfortunate but that wicket has ensured RR don’t gain advantage in the powerplay! RR 50/2 after 6 overs.

Buttler departs!

A proper test match line and length. He pitched it in the corridor of uncertainty. Buttler goes for backfoot punch and edges it straight to third-man. Brilliant captaincy and bowling by Pandya, going with his instincts and pitching it away from his pads and gets the wicket! RR lose one early!

Toss Update: Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and will bat first!

Build-Up..

The Rajasthan Royals will face the Gujarat Titans, who currently lead the standings. A win for the Royals would move them to the top of the standings, while a win for the Titans would put them virtually one step closer to the playoffs. Both teams lost their previous meeting and would like to get back on track. Follow the feed for RR vs GT: Live Score and Update.

The Titans, who lead the points standings, have won six of their last nine games. The Royals are presently fourth in the points standings, having won five of their nine games this season. Meanwhile: KKR Name Johnson Charles as Replacement for Litton Das

What to Expect?.. So far, two matches have been played at this venue, with polar opposite circumstances. When the surface was slow and sluggish, RR laboured, Buttler scored at a strike rate of less than 100, and LSG held the hosts to 154/7. Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered 77 off 43 balls as the ball soared off the deck and off the bat, and RR won by 32 runs. Both clubs have recently struggled with slow pitches and will be hoping that the one they play on has lots of runs on it.
