In the mega IPL auction this year Rovman Powell was roped in by the Delhi Capitals for Rs. 2.80 Crores. His base price was just Rs. 75 Lakhs. Initially, LSG and DC started the bidding. Lucknow went out at 1.40 crores, CSK then jumped in. And CSK & DC’s bid war went on till CSK opted out at 2.60 crores. Finally, the explosive batter went to the Delhi Capitals.

Rovman Powell Net worth 2022

Rovman Powell’s Net worth is estimated to be around $2-3 Million or between Rs 15 Crores to Rs 22 Crores. The incomes include Salaries from the West Indies Cricket Board and match fees from various T20 leagues. This year his Net worth got a huge jump as he grabbed a heavy price tag in the IPL auction.

Rovman Powell Career

Nicknamed Knight he captained the West Indies for the first time in a ODI match against Bangladesh in 2018. In the Caribbean domestic circuit, he has played for Jamaica, the Combined Campuses and Colleges. In February 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Powell as one of the ten players to watch ahead of the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament. Following the conclusion of the Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament, the ICC named Powell as the rising star of the West Indies squad.

Apart from his intrepid batting he also bowls part-time medium pace which makes him a valuable asset in the shorter formats. Powell features in major T20 leagues around the globe. Apart from Delhi Capitals in IPL, he plays for Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League, Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League, Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League and Kandy Warriors in the Lanka Premier League.

Powell’s IPL journey has been long, he was purchased by KKR in 2017 but didn’t get a match to feature in. In 2018 he went unsold. After waiting for about 5 years, he finally made his IPL debut on 27th March this year against Mumbai Indians. Year 2022 has so far been good for Powell as he notched up his maiden T20 hundred against England in January. Let’s hope for some powerful performances from the all rounder this IPL which will change the fate of some games.
