Then Gujarat Skipper Hardik Pandya playing a Captain’s knock made an unbeatable half century hitting 4 boundaries and a six. The Skipper was supported by the newbie Abhinav Manohar who played a balancing act of 35 in just 21 deliveries. GT scored 162/7 in 20 overs.

IInd inning
With 163 to chase SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson played a phenomenal opening partnership of over 60 runs. Finally Rashid Khan gave SRH their first breakthrough in the 9th over dismissing Sharma for 42. Then Williamson and Tripathi kept SRH’s scoreboard ticking and Hyderabad crossed the 100 run mark in the 14th over with a six. But Tripathi got retired hurt over a muscle cramp and sadly had to take a long walk to the pavilion. Williamson played a captain’s knock of 57 but departed soon in the 17th over. Late night cameo of Nicholas Pooran with support of Markram took SRH past the finish line.
