It took a short while for the price to reach INR 1 crore. Then DC backed off, Gujarat stepped in and KKR decided to back off after Gujarat bided 2.6 crores.

The 27 year old made headlines after he was purchased in February 2022, by the Gujarat Titans in IPL auctions. He made his T20 debut in November 2021, for Karnataka in the pre-quarter-finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The right-handed batter batted exceptionally well in his debut game. He scored 70 runs off 49 balls including 2 fours and 6 sixes against Saurashtra. Manohar made his List A debut on December 19, 2021, for Karnataka in the preliminary quarter-finals of the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy, against Rajasthan.
