CSK got off to an 87-run opening stand which was broken by Mohit Sharma. They soon lost wickets in a cluster and were 125/4 in the 16th over. The trio of Rayudu, Jadeja and Moeen played crucial cameos to yield 35 runs in the last three overs.

Dasun Shanaka, who came in at no. 4 put a good stand with Shubman Gill but fell to Jadeja. The Titans soon went from 72/2 to 88/5 as Jadeja and Chahar scalped Miller and Gill quickly.
Theekshana came back into the attack and removed the dangerous Tewatia for 3.
