DC won the toss and elects to bowl. KKR today, tries another opening pair of Aaron Finch and Venkatesh Iyer, which too disappoints. KKR’s dead inning gets CPR from the seasoned Knight Nitish Rana who hits 57 in 34 balls, hitting 3 fours and 4 sixes. Rinku Singh too supported Rana and made 23 in 16 balls. Losing wickets in regular intervals, KKR was bundled out at 146/9. Kuldeep Yadav bagged 4 wickets and Mustafizur Rahman took 3 to bamboozle KKR’s battling lineup.
IInd inning Report Card
With 147 to win, DC openers Prithvi Shaw and David Warner made their way to the centre. Umesh Yadav gave KKR an incredible breakthrough as he dismisses Shaw on the first ball of the inning. In the second over, KKR debutant Harshit Rana gives DC another blow as he gets the wicket of Mitchell Marsh. Then on, Warner and Lalit Yadav build a decent partnership adding over 50 runs. While Warner was sent away in the 10th over at 42 by Umesh Yadav, Lalit departed in the next. 12th over and Umesh Yadav strikes again, dismisses the newly in Rishabh Pant. Then Rovman Powell and Axar Patel build a match-winning partnership. Powell made an unbeaten 33 and Patel contributed 24. Delhi won the by 4 wickets but KKR’s bowling made them sweat for every run, had it been a few more on the board, things might have been different altogether.

Kuldeep Yadav won the Man of the Match award for his splendid spell of 4/14. He took the important wicket of Shreyas Iyer who was starting to look dangerous after settling in. Yadav also dismissed the monster, Andre Russell for a duck and the debutant Baba Indrajit.
