India tops the ICC Annual Rankings in T20I with 270 rating points. New skipper Rohit Sharma has led the team in a string of wins. Which has resulted in it being named the number one ranked team in the shortest format. However, the team is a good 9 points behind Australia in the Test rankings. India was already in the lead before the annual review. However, the lead over Australia has expanded by 5 points, compared to 1 point previously. After having failed in the ICC Men’s T20 WC 2021, India was seen in a good form against New Zealand, West Indies, and Sri Lanka. There has been a change in the Indian team’s captaincy and coaching. England stands 2nd with 265 points.

The Australian team has been showing great performances in Test cricket recently. As a result, Australia is named the world’s best Test side for 2020-21. Australia increased its lead over India from 1 to 9 points. Australia had beaten England in the Ashes by 4-0. Furthermore, England has been rated 88 points which is its lowest Test rating since 1995.
New Zealand has been ranked the best ODI side for 2020-21. Moreover, the ODI annual ranking review has seen several shifts. NZ tops with 125 points. Whereas, England is just a point behind. There is a gap of 17 points between England and third-placed Australia. In addition, India ranked fourth in the ODI rankings. The India-England series will be included in the rankings after the final Test is played.
