According to widespread reports, Leeds United star Raphinha has agreed on personal terms with Spanish giants FC Barcelona. The winger and his agent Deco who is a former Barcelona player have been negotiating with the Spanish club for a transfer move this summer. The Brazilian has decided that he wants to have a new challenge in his career and he would gladly join Barcelona this transfer window regardless of whether Leeds manage to stay in the Premier League or get relegated.

Raphinha is by far the best Leeds United player in front of goal as he is the top scorer in the team by scoring 10 goals and he has also provided 3 assists this season. However, the negotiations between Barcelona and Deco’s agent have been stopped at the moment as Leeds are currently in a battle to stay in the Premier League. They are currently in 18th place of the PL table with 35 points along with Burnely who are 17th. So it comes down to the last matchday where Leeds have to gain points and hope that Burnely drops points so that they stay in the PL.
But if Leeds get relegated there is a 25 Million Release clause in his contract which Barcelona could really take advantage of and get him on a bargain. So with Barcelona’s difficult finances, it would be beneficial for them for Leeds to get relegated. But if Leeds stay in the PL, it is reported that they would at least ask 50-55 Million Euros in order to sell the winger. Anyway there hasn’t been an official offer from Barcelona to Leeds yet as they are waiting to see whether Leeds stay in the PL or not. All in all, Raphinha will surely be a great addition to Xavi’s team.
