“Ye Humse nahi out hota,” Pakistani fan’s concern watching Kohli practice at nets

What a comeback it has been for Former Indian Captain Virat Kohli since the Asia Cup. Prior to Sunday’s T20 World Cup 2022 opener between India and Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Kohli seemed to have carried his form. The same could be seen in a few videos that were uploaded to Twitter. On the eve of the important game at MCG, the seasoned batter can be seen practising his batting technique in the nets in the videos.

During the practise session, Kohli played several strokes, including a reverse sweep against wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, and he expertly middled the ball.

As usual, a large crowd gathered to see Virat and other Indian athletes train. Following Kohli’s strokeplay, a Pakistani supporter conveyed his worries by saying:

Ye Kohli mujhe lagta hai kuch karega. Ye Humse nahi out hota (I feel, Kohli will do something big [against Pakistan]. He’s not going to get dismissed by us).

Kohl’s mindblogginh 122* against Afghanistan changed it all

Virat Kohli was going through an extended lean patch, and there were concerns over his status in the Indian T20I team prior to the Asia Cup 2022. The former captain, who finished the six-team competition as the second-highest run scorer with 276 runs to his credit from five innings, silenced his detractors.

During the tournament, Kohli also ended his much-talked-about century drought as he slammed 122* off 61 balls in India’s last Super-4 clash against Afghanistan. Virat continued to shine in the home T20I series against Australia after finding his form again in the Asia Cup. In the third and final T20I, he scored 63 runs off 48 balls, helping India win the series 2-1. It seems sense that Kohli will perform well for India in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
