UP Government Set To Build One More Stadium In State, Allocated 95 Crore For New Varanasi Stadium

The state government of Uttar Pradesh has allocated a whopping amount of Rs 95 Crore as the budget for the purchase of land in order to build another international cricket stadium in the state. This stadium will be located in Varanasi.

Some great news has come in on the behalf of the state government of Uttar Pradesh for the cricket lovers. The UP government set to build one more stadium in state. Allocation of a massive budget of Rs 95 Crore has been done for the sole purpose of buying a land in Varanasi. This land will be used in setting up yet another International Cricket Stadium in the country. It will prove to be a great decision in the upcoming future as people from Uttar Pradesh as well as other neighbouring states such as Bihar and Uttarakhand will also be able to enjoy the cricket matches live from stadium. 

UP Government Set To Build One More Stadium In State:

However, there are already other two international stadiums in the state of Uttar Pradesh; Green Park in Kanpur and Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Not to mention, the newest addition of the live cricket-viewing provision will be the first one to be located in Kashi. This city has always been famous for its worshipping values. As per the sources, the stadium will be built somewhere near Gunjari village which is in Raja Talab Tehsil, Ring Road. The land chosen for the 3rd international stadium in the state is spread across 31 acres of land. It is also 15 kilometres away from the main city of Varanasi.

When asked about the inspection done on the preferred site for the stadium, the regional sports officer of Varanasi, Raj Prakash Singh said, “A team of officials of the revenue department, led by the district magistrate, has already inspected the area. Also a report has been sent to the state government for approval.” 

Although, this is not the only contribution made by the state government for the upgradation of cricket facilities in UP. Rs 50 Crore was also allocated to Major Dhyan Chand Sports Academy in Meerut
