Rahul Tripathi, through his excellent form with the bat, has quite surely impressed a lot of cricket experts as well as the fans all over the world. He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 15th season of IPL. For the team, Tripathi smashed a total of 413 runs in just 14 games. Although, SRH couldn’t win the trophy this year but Tripathi has ensured catching the attention of some great personalities. The former Indian opener, Virender Sehwag is all smiles and appreciative towards the 31-year-old.
When asked in an interview about who he thinks was the best No.3 batter of IPL 2022, Sehwag named the SRH’s un-capped player, Rahul. He also mentioned that amongst all the other teams, Rahul has accomplished more success, batting at No.3 position. “Rahul Tripathi batted really well at No.3. He scored over 400 runs this season and was the best No.3 batter of the season. If you look at all teams, if there’s one player who has attained most success at No.3, it is Rahul Tripathi. He scored so many runs at that position.”

Sehwag also mentioned that Rahul Tripathi had a huge role to play in SRH five-consecutive wins. “He won several games for SRH and he contributed a lot to SRH winning five matches in a row.”
However, with a brilliant form, Tripathi has still not been chosen in the Indian Cricket Team. When the squad for India vs SA T20 series was announced, many cricketers, including Sehwag himself and Harbhajan Singh, were quite disappointed with Tripathi’s name not being there.
