But he played one of the best innings of his life. Due to his brilliant innings, India is able to post a target of 212 runs. Earlier Rishabh Pant has hundreds in Australia and England. Now, Rishabh Pant slams another hundred in the decider of Test Series vs SA at Cape Town.
Rishabh Pant shines in Cape Town
Pant has created history by scoring hundred in Test Match. He becomes the first Asian wicketkeeper to score a Test Century in South Africa. He is just 24 years of age and breaking records at this age is his habit now. Not to forget, Rishabh Pant was under pump before this Test Match for his three ball duck in the 2nd Test vs South Africa. However, once again he silenced his critics with a sensational batting display at Newlands, Cape Town. Meanwhile, Pant has a habit of playing stellar knocks in the deciding Tests. His 89* in Brisbane last year is still alive in our minds.
Pant’s recent form wasn’t as spectacular. He hasn’t performed much before this match in this series. However, the 24 year old came with a stunning knock on a track where most of the Indian batters failed. When he came out to bat, India were struggling at 58/4. Pant joined forces with skipper Virat Kohli and the duo steadied the ship. The pair added 96 vital runs for the fifth wicket. However, Kohli resilience end after scoring 29 runs when he fell prey to Lungi Ngidi. Rishabh has the responsibility to bat with the tail enders. And India were able to go past 200 and Rishabh Pant slams hundred in the decider of Test Series vs SA.
Pant’s Unorthodox shots continues
And when Rishabh Pant bats, you never feel bored. His attacking style of playing cricket is entertaining for all of us. He played percentage cricket when he was in partnership with Virat Kohli but when he was batting with tail enders, his unorthodox shots were as usual. In a shot he played of Olivier’s ball, the bat comes out of his hands and bat was in opposite direction and ball was in the opposite. He, definitely, is the entertaining cricketer.
