PBKS vs GT: Live Score and Updates

PBKS vs GT: Consecutive losses for PBKS!

Gujrat win the game, Tewatia down on one knee scopes it over fine leg for a boundary! Shubman Gill stared in the chase with a well made 65. A valiant effort by Punjab bowlers but their batters have let them down. 56 dot balls when PBKS batted. A problem that needs to be sorted, but for now they slip to their second consecutive loss. Gujrat are back on winning track..

AND DOWN THE LAST OVER AGAIN!!!! GT NEED 7 RUNS FROM 6 BALLS!.. Sam Curran to bowl!.. cleans up Gill on the second ball!!

PBKS vs GT: 43 to get from last 5!

Hardik looking to be positive holes out at long-on!! Punjab have done well but GT are still 12 runs ahead from what PBKS were at the same stage. GT are 111/3 after 15 overs. They need 43 runs off 30 balls with set batter Gill and Killer Miller at crease!

Gujrat still favourates to win the game but cricket is a funny game…. specially this format can turn on its head in no time and last few games have been evidence of the fact!.

Let’s find out what these last overs have in store for us!!

Short ball does the trick!

Arshdeep proved expensive on the powerplay but delivers for the captain in the middle overs. He has broken the partnership and gets the inform batter Sai Sudharsan for almost a run-a-ball 19. A good passage of play this for Punjab Kings, bowling some quite overs. But, GT still in front as they need 63 more from 48 balls! GT 91/2 (12 overs)

PBKS vs GT: GT cruising at the halfway stage!

Gujrat Titans are well placed to chase this down. Punjab Kings have bowled well but even the slightest of errors have been punished by the batters. GT are 80/1 with 74 runs more to chase!

PBKS vs GT: Powerplay Done!

Gujrat Titans have bossed the powerplay, just like their opponents. GT have scored 56/1 after 6 overs with Shubman Gill (20 off 13) and Sai Sudharsan (5 off 4) at the crease. It is a good wicket and GT need 98 runs from 84 balls.

The middle phase yielded returns at an rate of 5.22 for Punjab Kings while they were batting. They would hope to strangle the Titans the same way.. but it is easier said than done..

100th IPL wicket for Rabada!

The pacer dismissed Wriddhiman Saha to claim his 100th wicket in IPL. Saha was making a mockery of the chase with his strokemaking untill on of his shots found the hands of Matt Short at deep backward square leg! Rabada is the fastest to 100 wickets in IPL (64 matches).

PBKS vs GT: Innings Break!

12 runouts in the final over courtesy of some excellent glovework by Saha. Shahrukh has played a nice cameo here to get them to a respectable total. The Punjab innings looked fluent untill Matt Short got out. GT came back and then controlled the flow till the 20th over. The star of evening has been Mohit Sharma. Playing his first match since 2020, the seamer picked 2 wickets and only gave 18 runs.

PBKS end with 153/8. It is still underwhelming on what seems a good wicket to bat. GT would need 154 runs off 120 balls to get their 3rd win on the board.

Misery Ends for Rajapaksa!

And he never really got going. A inning in which he managed 20 runs after playing 26 balls. He chips a full toss straight to Shubman Gill at deep mid wicket. AND SHAH RUKH KHAN hits a first ball six!..WOW!!.. Can they make the most these 18 upcoming deliveries?? PBKS are 121/5 in 17 overs.

PBKS vs GT : GT in firm control after the middle overs!

Punjab Kings have lost wickets at regular intervals. Gujrat bowlers have bowled tidy overs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa is failing to find his tempo as he is scoring at a strike rate of 78. Sam Curran at the other end with 4 runs off 10 balls.

PBKS are 99/4 with 30 legal deliveries remaining! They need to finish big to reach a competitive total!

Successful DRS sends Jitesh back!

Wriddhiman Saha was the only one appealing, no else was intrested. But he convinced Hardik to review and the DRS showed a spike. A successful DRS helped Mohit Sharma get his first wicket and send Jitesh Sharma back for 25 runs off 23 balls. PBKS are 94/4 after 13 overs. Bhanuka Rajapaksa (17 off 18) and Sam Curran (1 off 3) are at the crease. Punjab needs to finish well here, they need a score in excess of 180 on this track!

Rashid gets Short!

A wicket just 3 balls after the end of powerplay. Rashid Khan, the wizard of spin got the fluent looking Matthew Short with a googly. Short didn’t pick the googly and is knocked over for 36. PBKS 59/3 after 7 overs.

Little with the big wicket!

Josh Little gets the orange cap holder Shikhar Dhawan for a single digit score. It’s his first single-digit score of the season. Trying to hit it over midwicket he edges it and hand Joseph an easy catch. Gujrat Titans are delighted. PBKS 30/2 after 4 overs. It is a batting wicket, Punjab needs a partnership here!

Consecutive ducks for Prabhsimran!

GT strike early as Shami gets Prabhsimran. Not the best of deliveries but Prabhsimran failed to keep the shot down. PBKS 0/1 with Matthew Short and Shikhar Dhawan at crease!
