How The Game Of Day 1 Unfolded!

Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to field first. Bangladesh lost their first wicket in the second of the match. At the score of 6, Zakir Hasan lost his wicket to Masood. Masood took this wicket on his first ball in his test career. He became the seventh bowler in the 21st century to strike the first ball in Tests. And the first from Afghanistan to do so. Shanto and Mahmudul Hasan Joy added 212 for the second wicket, Bangladesh’s only third 200-plus second-wicket stand. Incidentally, for the second wicket, Shanto has made 100-plus partnerships in their last four matches. Also Read: Indian National Cricket Team Coaches Since 1971

At stumps, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were unbeaten on 41 and 43, respectively. Mushfiqur and Mehidy made an unbeaten partnership of 72 at the end of day 1.
