Kolkata Knight Riders registered their 5th loss in a row against Delhi Capitals last night. Delhi bowlers had started troubling the KKR batting order early in the innings. Chetan Sakariya was given the ball in the 2nd over. It was in his very first over that Sakariya clean bowled Aaron Finch. Sakariya smartly used an inswing delivery which Aaron Finch always struggle against. He immediately made an impression by dismissing the Australian skipper. It was for his maiden wicket that Chetan Sakariya did a Dragon Ball-Z celebration. As a response, Sunil Gavaskar from the commentary box was left stunned. He exclaimed, “Wow. what is that? A new celebration.” Later, Sakariya also took two important catches for the team.
Apart from his comeback to the IPL, what drew Chetan attention was his new celebration. After dismissing Finch, Chetan crossed his arms in front of his chest. Then he put his index and middle fingers on his forehead and he stayed in the pose. This heavily resembled Dragon Ball-Z character Goku. It was the anime character’s ‘instant transmission’ pose. Earlier, Sakariya had played for Rajasthan Royals. Where he did the ‘Wakanda Forever’ celebration inspired by the Marvel universe.

Post-match Kuldeep Yadav was interviewing Chetan Sakariya. Since it was Chetan’s debut for Delhi Capitals he talked about having sleepless nights before his debut. Ever since he was informed that he will be playing against KKR, he was nervous. However, as soon as he got the cap and was on the field all the anxiety went away and he was a lot calmer.
“It’s an emotional celebration, it’s for my father, he always used to tell about taking the wicket of an international player by bowled.”
