CSK and Dhoni lately have become synonymous and the love these two command is unparalleled. Now the fandom just got bigger and better as Bollywood’s perfectionist Aamir Khan joins the fold. Aamir Khan, in a video uploaded on social media, expressed his love for MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings and also stated his desire to play for the four-time champions in next year’s edition of the Indian Premier League. The franchise’s official fan page posted a video in which Aamir, who is also a big cricket buff, spoke about his love for the Chennai-based franchise. He mentioned that he is really fond of MS Dhoni and is excited to see him lead the team next season as well.

“Calm on the exterior but there’s a storm brewing inside”
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known as “Captain Cool” for his ice-cold temperament on the field and this character trait of his is lauded by cricket enthusiasts worldwide which includes Aamir Khan as well.
“It will be an honour to play in yellow. It will be an honour for me to play under Mahi. I am a huge fan of his and the first time I saw him, I felt, here’s a guy who is calm on the exterior, but there’s a storm brewing inside, which you can’t see. The good news is that he said he’s going to play next season. You all can see me in the nets and if I’m good enough, then I’m expecting you all to really start whistling,”

In the 2022 season of the cash-rich league, CSK ended their campaign with a five-wicket defeat against Rajasthan Royals on Friday (May 20). They finished in the second last position in the league table. It was only the second time in 13 seasons that the four-time winners failed to reach the playoffs. Retrospecting the team will hope for a strong comeback next season.
