Teams fighting so that they don’t end at the last spot. The 37th match of IPL 2021, scheduled at Sharjah Stadium was between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. This season is not fruitful for both the teams. So let’s have a brief summary of today’s match. The performance of the batsmen of PKBS was not up to the mark. Splendid spells from SRH bowlers helped the team to restrict PKBS to just 125 runs. However the short relief turned out to be a nightmare as Punjab Kings defended the target. PKBS vs SRH Man of the match: Although SRH lost the match, one of it’s all rounders received the Man of the Match award for his exceptional efforts.

To begin with, SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first. Their decision turned out in their way as bowlers outshone the PKBS batsmen. SRH bowlers gave a tough time to the opposition. Jason Holder struck in the powerplay and dismissed the two openers. Furthermore, PKBS failed to maintain the momentum as wickets continued to fall. All the bowlers delivered magnificent spells and restricted PKBS to 125. The highest score was only 27 by Aiden Markram in PKBS.

In the second innings, SRH also tumbled as they lost both the openers for just 10 runs. David Warner and Kane Williamson were dismissed for a mere 2 and 1 run respectively. Terrific bowling from PKBS bowlers as SRH lost their momentum and tumbled to 60 for 5 in 13 overs. However Jason Holder gave a glimpse of his potential and smashed a gutsy knock of 47 off 29. Although he gave his best shot, SRH lost the match by 5 runs as wickets kept falling.

Despite SRH suffered a loss, one of it’s players deserves constant appreciation. The West Indies ace all rounder Jason Holder bagged the Man of the Match award for his splendid performance. He only conceded just 19 runs in his 4 over spell and took 3 crucial wickets. Talking about the batting side, he smashed a quickfire knock of 47 off 29. He gave his best shot but still couldn’t make it to the victory.
