The final ride begins!! The first qualifier, scheduled at Dubai International Stadium was between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. The young men in blue will play against the more experienced men in yellow. So let’s have a glimpse of this enthralling match. Although wickets kept falling, DC managed to put up 172 runs on the board. Brilliant bowling by CSK in the first 10 overs. DC vs CSK Man of the Match: Showing his consistency yet once again, the batter helped the team to seal the victory. 

To begin with the match, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. Things were quite on their side as they kept taking wickets in regular intervals. CSK restricted DC to 80 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs. However afterwards, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer balanced the team. While Hetmyer scored 37 off 24, Rishabh Pant smashed 51 off 35 at a strike rate of 145. These knocks helped DC to reach a defendable total of 172 runs. Terrific bowling from Josh Hazlewood, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali.

In the second innings, CSK got an amazing start. Although they lost the 1st wicket in the first over, the other two batters performed miraculously. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa set up a 100 runs partnership. While Uthappa knocked 63 off 44, Ruturaj smashed a blistering 70 off 50. However later then CSK lost 3 wickets for only 6 runs. DC did turn the tables around but the match was with 100 twists.  Although CSK lost 4 5 wickets in a small gap, MS Dhoni ensured and sealed the victory by making 18 in 6 balls. As a result, CSK won the qualifier by 4 wickets and 2 balls left.

The CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, yet once again showcased his skills. He scored a brilliant 70 off 50 balls and helped the team to reach the target. Despite wickets falling on the other end, he showed his consistency and performed according to the situation. Magnificent effort from CSK players helped them to make it to the finals.
