India won the toss and opted to bowl first in the final contest of their Australian tour today. They got off to a superb start by dismissing healy early. But later we saw a sparkling inning from Beth Mooney as she scored 61 off 43, hitting ten fours. She batted till 18th over getting help from Mcgrath who scored 44 off 31, hitting six fours and a six to put a defendable score of 149 on the board despite losing wickets back to back.
In the second inning, the Indian team didn’t get a good start. They scored only 2 runs in the first over and lost their opener, Shafali Verma, cheaply which leads to the slow pace till they accelerate to go for some boundaries in the middle overs. Smriti Mandhana did great with the bat scoring 52 off 49, hitting eight fours. However, due to lack of support from others and scoring just 5 runs in the penultimate over, India Lost the match by 14 overs disappointing their fans.

Happy to be ”wearing the Aussie shirt again” the Australian allrounder Tahlia McGrath is the Player of the Match and Series. She performed exceptionally well with the ball scoring 44 off 31 to put a defendable score.
