DC vs SRH(Match 33)- Man of the Match award winner
Once again a brilliant effort by bowlers today!! The 33rd match of the IPL, scheduled at Dubai International Stadium was between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. On one hand where Delhi is at the 2nd position, SRH is on the last position. DC restricted SRH to a low of 134 runs losing 9 wickets and got an easy target to chase. DC vs SRH Man of the Match award: The bowlers did their job really well and one of them also got the Man of the Match award for his economical spell. This was a result of poor performance by the top order of SRH.
Starting with the match, SRH won the toss and chose to bat first. However the decision didn’t turn out to be fruitful for them. David Warner scored zero runs and Saha was also dismissed in the fifth over. So after the 4th over, the team stood at 29 for 2 and thus DC dominated them in the powerplay. Furthermore, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and SRH was able to reach only 134 after 20 overs.
In the 2nd innings, DC started safely though Prithvi Shaw lost his wicket early in the 3rd over. Shikhar Dhawan continued to play and scored 42 off 37 before getting dismissed in the 11th over. And icing on the cake, he is now the highest run scorer in IPL 2021 with the orange cap. After that, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant led the team to chase the target and won the match. While Rishabh Pant scored 35 off 21, Shreyas Iyer smashed a gutsy knock of 47 runs. On the other hand SRH bowlers were unsuccessful in breaking the batting order and were unsatisfied with their performances.
Man of the Match
The man with the pace gets the Man of the Match award. Anrich Nortje delivered a flabbergasting and economical spell. He conceded only 12 runs in his 4 overs and also took 2 wickets. He dismissed David Warner for zero runs and Kedhar Jadhav for a mere 3 runs. The pacer proved his efficiency and his place in the team.
