SRH vs MI: Live Score and Update

SRH vs MI: The match ends with Arjun Tendulkar claiming his debut wicket!

Arjun Tendulkar was given 20 runs to defend in the last over and he bowled a remarkable last over. He has also picked his maiden IPL wicket. MI win by 14 runs. It is their third win on the bounce!

Sunrisers Hyderabad would be gutted as they lost several key moments. They were in the game till the 18th over. But they failed to capitalize on key moments. Washington Sundar’s casual jog for run and Klassen going for one shot too many. All this caused ill-timed dismissals for SRH and allowed Mumbai to come back in the game!

SRH vs MI: Agarwal departs SRH in trouble again!

Mumbai Indians continue their rampage. They have picked wickets in clusters of two this inning. They got Klassen last over and they get Mayank in the next over. SRH have lost 6 wickets now. 60 runs still to get of 30 balls. The game has shifted in MI’s favour again. Jansen and Samad at the crease!

Marco Jansen for Sunrisers Eastern Cape against MI Cape Town in SA20 smashed 66(27) coming in to bat when 81 was required off 47 balls. .. Will this be a repeat?

Klassen’s cameo brings SRH back!

Heinrich Klassen decided to take on Piyush Chawla and he took him for 20 runs. He perished in trying to go for more. Chawla bravely tosses it up and Klassen gets the toe end and find Tim David at the boundary. 66 runs more from 36 balls with 5 wickets in hand.

SRH substitute Natarajan for Abdul Samad.

SRH vs MI: Sunrisers need 117 more at the halfway stage!

MI are striking at regular intervals. So far all tricks thrown by Sharma have fallen in MI’s favour. Mumbai look in firm control now and they look well-placed to win this. SRH need something special as there is no dew. They need this partnership to fire. They also have the impact substitution left so they may opt for Samad. For right now, build a partnership with a good scoring rate.

SRH 76/4 after 10 overs, need 117 runs from last 10 overs!

Green strikes gold for MI!

The spiners conceded 22 runs in their two overs and Rohit brought Green into the attack. Green has rewarded the captain with the key wicket of Markram. He could have been dangerous as he started to tee off.

Piyush Chawla has sent Abhishek Sharma packing. A well-tossed googly inflicts a soft dismissal. SRH is in trouble now at 72/4. The required rate is already above 11.

SRH vs MI : SRH 42/2 after powerplay!

Mumbai Indians have won the powerplay. They are ahead at this stage having taken two wickets and haven’t given away easy runs. For SRH, Mayank is looking good, hitting the gaps just needs to do it more often. Markram can certainly score quickly once he gets in. They have young Abhishek Sharma who can be destructive against spin, so they are not out of it yet. They need to ensure this partnership keeps ticking at a healthy rate.

SRH 42/2 after 6 overs, 151 runs more to win from 84 balls!

Tripathi gone for 7!

A nothing shot from Tripathi. A poke at the delivery and it falls in the keeper’s gloves. This is turning out to be an excellent start for Mumbai Indians. SRH 26/2 after 4 overs. A partnership needed here!

The centurion gone for single digit!

The Orange Army is stunned as Behrendorff has the big strike. Brook played two glorious shots before slicing one straight up in the air. Surya holds on to the catch and SRH are 13/1 at the end of 2 overs.

Impact Player (MI): Riley Meredith in for Tilak Varma!

SRH vs MI: Innings Break!

After being asked to bat first, MI have done well to reach 192/5. This looks like a good score on this ground given the odd ball gripped and turned. This could prove a tough chase if dew doesn’t settle in. Cameron Green got himself his maiden IPL fifty. He started slow scoring 39 off his first 30 balls. And then cashed 25 runs in his last 10 balls. He was supported by Tilak and Tim David in the end.

Sunrisers need 193 runs to win. They would need their openers to give a flying start as there is no guarantee of dew as of now. SRH have a job on their hands, will they get this done?

Timely strike!

Tilak Varma is gone! He was looking very dangerous. The Orange Army is delighted to see the back of him. Tilak goes for 37, MI 151/4. 21 legal balls more to be bowled.

SRH vs MI: Tilak Varma pushes the scoring rate

Tilak Varma has played some terrific shots. He took 15th and 16th over for 21 runs and 14 runs respectively. He is batting on 31 off just 15. This could be the beginning of an onslaught! MI 144/3, last 4 overs coming up!

Markram catches another stunner!

SIX AND OUT FOR SKY! But what a catch by Markram. Two stunners in an over, both by the same fielder. First to dismiss Kishan and now to dismiss Surya. Surya ends up checking his drive, lobbing it wide of mid-off, and Markram runs to his left before diving full length to take this. Third catch of the night for Markram! MI 95/3 (12 overs).

Kishan gone for 38!

Markram has taken a superb running catch. Ishan slices one in the air and it travels over mid-off where Markram takes a good running catch. MI 87/2 now!

SRH vs MI: Halfway Stage!

The ball is stopping and turning. It has helped SRH storm back after MI dominated the powerplay. Ishan Kishan is looking to attack. Cameron Green broke shackles with a big hit over long-on. MI are 80/1 after 10 overs.

SRH vs MI: Powerplay Done!

Kishan’s handsome pickup over deep midwicket has taken Mumbai Indians past 50. Kishan is looking good. Cameron Green has joined him in the middle. MI have put together another decent start in the powerplay. MI 53/1 at the end of the powerplay.

Hitman departs!

Natarajan removes the dangerous Rohit. It seemed like he was running away with a flier again. Big wicket for SRH! Change of pace deceives him and he lofts a easy catch to Markram. Rohit gone for 18, MI 42/1 after 5 overs.

STAT: Rohit Sharma becomes the fourth player to reach 6000 runs in IPL. He has reached there in 227 innings!

Toss Update: Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and will bowl first!

“The surface is interesting. It’s a light colour, very grey colour. The grass that was there is cut very very low. I’m just wondering … the ball feels as though it’ll come on to the bat on this but because the grass is cut so low, I’m not sure. I don’t know if it’ll grip a little bit for the slowmen. But it looks beautiful. If later in the game, dew comes in, it’ll slide on nicely. “..says Ian Bishop in Pitch Report
