ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will commence on October 16 in Australia. The inaugural match will be played between Sri Lanka and newcomer Namibia at Geelong Cricket Ground, Victoria. Moreover, the final is to be played on November 13 in Melbourne.
England will begin its journey against Afghanistan on October 22. England has featured in all seven editions of the T20 World Cup. However, England has only been able to win the trophy once in the year 2010. In total England has played 38 matches out of which it has won 19 and lost 18. Hence, its win percentage is 51.35.
Their previous white-ball captain Eoin Morgan retired just months before the marquee tournament. However, the team looks to be in the good hands of Jos Buttler. Moreover, their unfazed spirit makes them the favorites to win the competition. Hence, the English men will be eyeing their second T20 World Cup.
