India putting up a ‘mighty’ show against England in their title year, 2007

The 21st match of the introductory edition saw history being created. That year’s title champion India won against England by putting up an enormous target of 219 runs. Yuvraj Singh’s speedy 58 of just 16 balls, and the opening duo’s 136-run stand helped India put up the fourth-highest score of all time.

South Africa’s 211 against Scotland in the 2009 T20 World Cup

It was an AB de Villiers’ show at Kennington Oval in the 2009 T20 WC edition. De Villiers’ nippy 79 not out and Jacques Kallis’ 48 of 31 abetted a total of 211 against Scotland. Moreover, Albie Morkel’s 24 added a good chunky to the total.
