T20 cricket is relatively a new format. But, the format has seen the fastest milestones being set by contemporary power-hitting cricket. Cricket has not always been the way we witness it today. These high run-chases and last-moment wins are a present that the Twenty20 format has given to the game. There have been various cricketers globally who have added thrill to this format of the game. Let us have a look at all the players with 10,000 runs in T20 history.
Recently, Rohit Sharma, in an IPL encounter against PBKS has completed his 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. Only 7 players are there on the list so far. Among these only 2 Indians have reached the milestone.
Players with 10,000 runs in T20 history
1. Chris Gayle
Gayle was the first cricketer ever to score 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. Moreover, he still is the fastest cricketer to do so. he is also the highest run-scorer with 14562 runs to his credit. In IPL he has smashed 175* smashing Pune Warriors India. This inning is one of the most iconic IPL moments ever. In addition, it is the highest individual score by anyone in T20 cricket. None of the other cricketers has hit centuries in T20s in double-digits. But Chris Gayle has scored 22 centuries, definitely the Universal Boss!
2. Shoaib Malik
Pakistani batter, Shoaib Malik, with 11698 runs has scored the second-highest runs. Scoring so many runs, he has never hit a century. His highest score was 95*. However, Shoaib has smashed 71 half-centuries. It took 368 innings for Malik to reach 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. He has played for Barbados Tridents, Multan Sultan, Delhi Daredevils in CPL, PSL, and IPL T20 leagues, to name a few.
3. Keiron Pollard
In 450 innings, Keiron Pollard has reached 10,000 T20 runs. Now, he has 11474 runs to his credit. In the Caribbean Premier League, Polly has smashed 104 off 54 deliveries. St Lucia Stars obviously won the match. Apart from the national side, his contributions have been immense in T20 leagues as well. Pollard is one of the most trusted batters to add the finishing touches to his team’s total.

4. Aaron Finch
Former Aussie skipper, Finch has smashed 8 centuries scoring 10,499 runs in T20. In IPL, Finch has represented 9 teams of the 14 teams to have ever played the tournament. His contribution to each one of the sides was crucial. Moreover, Aaron Finch has smashed the highest runs [172] by any batter in T20 Internationals. Finch has scored 10499 T20 runs so far.
5. Virat Kohli
The run-making machine Kohli became the first Indian to enter the club. He is also the second-fastest cricketer to smash 10,000 runs in T20s in only 299 innings. Moreover, Kohli is the second batter to score 10,000 runs in both ODI and T20 cricket. Now, Kohli stands 10379 runs strong with his highest score being 113.

6. David Warner
Warner was only the fourth batter to smash 10000 runs in T20 cricket. Moreover, he has a total of 10373 runs to his account. David Warner’s power-hitting is witnessed in IPL in addition to international cricket. His highest individual score came against Chennai Super Kings in Champions League 2011. He smashed 135* off just 69 deliveries. The Australian batter was selected for the national team without playing even a single first-class match, which is a rare event.
7. Rohit Sharma
Rohit is the newest entrant on the list. Hitman had hit a six in the IPL match to complete his 10000 runs. It took him 362 innings to reach the mark in the shortest format. Moreover, in T20Is, Rohit has the highest number of runs 3313 in 117 innings. In addition, the Hitman has 4 T20I centuries, the highest for any batter. Rohit’s highest score in T20s is 118 which came against Sri Lanka in just 43 deliveries.
