WWE Extreme Rules: Bray Wyatt makes spectacular return, revealed as White Rabbit

Are you excited by the return of Bray Wyatt?

After weeks of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” and QR codes about the “Three Little Pigs” fairy tale, the white rabbit has finally been revealed tonight at Extreme Rules.

WWE exceeded even the grandest of expectations by how they pulled off the return of Bray Wyatt on Saturday night. Sowed creatively in a way that let fans interact with the storyline for weeks, the 35-year-old made his anticipated return at the end of an otherwise mid-feeling Extreme Rules.

It was a glorious return to WWE Extreme Rules. For months, fans have wondered about the answer behind the mystery of the recent White Rabbit angle, which was finally revealed tonight as Bray Wyatt at WWE Extreme Rules 2022 in Philadelphia. Following the Fight Pit main event match, fans quickly found out the identity of the White Rabbit once they could start hearing once again Wyatt singing, “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands.”

It was exactly what WWE fans would expect, meaning it was oh-so-Wyatt. Past members of the Firefly Fun House made (deceased?) appearances while eerie music played, and brilliant camera work added to the mysticism before Wyatt emerged from behind a mask with his lantern.

WWE couldn’t have asked for a better response from the live crowd, either. Fans in attendance knew the deal and immediately whipped out flashlight mode on their devices and played along.

Internet Erupts as Bray Wyatt makes his return

The news of Bray Wyatt’s WWE comeback quite literally shook the Internet. The terms “He’s Back,” “Bray” and “White Rabbit” could be seen as the top trends all across social media.

As the wrestling world continues to celebrate the return of Wyatt, several wrestlers and wrestling personalities have chimed in with their reactions as well.

Alexa Bliss, who was aligned with Wyatt until she betrayed The Fiend at WrestleMania 36, wrote on Twitter: “Hello, old friend.”

Ricochet compared the loud pop received by Wyatt to the ovation that fans would customarily greet a pair of late WWE Hall of Famers with. He tweeted, “Yoooo, @Windham6 with the Road Warriors pop!”

Johnny Gargano reacted with a shocked GIF of himself.

T-BAR was admittedly lost for words upon seeing Wyatt’s return. “That was so good I don’t even know what the f to say,” tweeted the former Retribution member.

Cathy Kelley, who will make her debut as a backstage interviewer on “WWE Raw” later this week, tweeted “goosebumps” along with a White Rabbit emoji.

Shortly before Bray Wyatt walked through a door with light shining through, the live versions of his Firefly Fun House puppets and someone dressed as “The Fiend” were shown in the audience. Some fans believe this could be a sign of Wyatt forming his Wyatt 6 stable, which has been previously teased on social media. Others believe the returning Wyatt could be reverting back to his Wyatt Family persona.
