Sami Zayn was officially welcomed into The Bloodline by “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns on the 9/23 episode of “WWE SmackDown” in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Friday night episode began with the Bloodline in full strength at the ring- Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman, and the new honorary member Sami Zayn.
Solo Sikoa was officially introduced by Reigns. Sikoa also officially acknowledged his Tribal Chief. As The Bloodline was about to leave, Sami Zayn interrupted so he could acknowledge Reigns.
At this point, Reigns told Zayn to take off his Bloodline shirt. Reigns then revealed that he got Zayn a new shirt that says that he is an “Honorary Uce.”
Sami Zayn acknowledges ‘The Tribal Chief’
“I know I’m not technically blood, but the way you guys have taken me in as a family of late, I wanted to show my gratitude,” Zayn told The Bloodline.
“I also wanted to publicly acknowledge The Tribal Chief.”
“Yes, I acknowledge you, Tribal Chief,” Zayn said before embracing Reigns for a hug.
While Roman Reigns was initially reluctant to hug Zayn back, he eventually gave in.
Even as the rest of the Bloodline celebrated, Jey Uso was not happy in the least, as WWE continued to sow the seeds for an eventual rift within the stable.
Zayn gets mocked, beats up Madcap Moss and Ricochet with Sikoa
Later during a backstage segment, Sami Zayn was approached by Madcap Moss and Ricochet, who mocked him for being with Reigns. Moss and Ricochet were then assaulted and attacked by Sikoa, who further established his friendship with Zayn.
In the main event of the night, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) were up against Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) in an WWE undisputed tag team championship match.
