The Grayson Waller Effect with Pretty Deadly

Grayson Waller hosted his show with Pretty Deadly as his special guest tonight. Pretty Deadly are set to face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Tag Team Titles in London next week. Pretty Deadly delivered a decent promo, looking confident ahead of their championship match. They point out how Zayn and Owens argue but Pretty Deadly has been on the same page. They were soon interrupted by the Street Profits who challenge the duo for a match.

Pretty Deadly vs. The Street Profits

Pretty Deadly defeat the Street Profits in an entertaining match to gain momentum for their upcoming title bout. Prince rolled up a distracted Dawkins and secures the victory with an assist by Wilson and the rope. As entertaining they are on the mic, the duo does not disappoint when it comes to in-ring action. A good addition to the tag team Division if utilized well.

Charlotte Flair vs. Lacey Evans

Charlotte Flair faced Lacey Evans in a singles match before her Championship match against Asuka next week. The finish was never in doubt as the Queen easily made Evans tap out after locking her into a Figure Eight. Asuka attacked her rival after the match by kicking her in the face. Given the inevitable showdown of Belair and Flair, there’s a chance of the latter dethroning Asuka next week and becoming the champion yet again.

Sheamus vs. Solo Sikoa w/ Paul Heyman

Solo Sikoa and Sheamus battled in a physical contest to conclude tonight’s show. Sheamus had challenged Sikoa earlier after the latter had attacked Ridge Holland with a Samoan Spike. After a decent showdown, the enforcer breaks the barricade after running into the Celtic Warrior to end the match via referee stoppage. The streetfighter attacked the medics but was soon taken down by the Usos, issuing a statement for their match next week. After leveling Solo with a double superkick, The Usos went for the Uso splash to end the show.

Ratings- ***½

The show did a good job in building up the upcoming title matches on SmackDown. With Roman Reigns returning on Friday night SmackDown next week, the civil war angle will just get interesting and better.
