WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time WWE World Champion Ric Flair touched upon how he does not want to ever wrestle again but wishes that he could redo his last match.
Ric Flair Bowed Out At The Grandest Stage
The Nature Boy ‘Ric Flair’ led an illustrious wrestling career spanning decades. Flair decided to draw curtains on his phenomenal WWE career at the grandest stage of them all – WrestleMania. He took on Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 in 2008, in a Career Threatening Match. The ultimatum was simple – ‘Win or Retire’. The two put up one of the most memorable and emotional matches in WWE history, with Flair bowing out after Michaels defeated him with a Sweet Chin Music. Michaels infamously uttered the words – “I’m sorry,” before going through with his finisher move. He proceeded to instantly hug Flair in despair as soon as he had pinned Flair. Many thought Ric Flair would be one of the few ones to honour his retirement.

Rusty Return To The Ropes
In July 2022, Ric Flair entered the wrestling scene once again. He teamed up with his son-in-law, Andrade El Idolo and successfully defeated Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. But it wasn’t a smooth affair to say the least. Ric Flair understandably seemed rusty but passed out twice due to dehydration over the course of the match. The 73-year-old went to the extent of faking a heart attack during the match. It was a complete botch-fest.

Ric Flair Is Not ‘Begging’ For One More Match
Flair recently spoke to To Be The Man podcast. He exclaimed that he is not begging for one more match but wishes that he could redo his last match. He re-iterated that he has no desire to wrestle again.
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer stated, “I wouldn’t recommend it again, either. I don’t know why they’re saying I’m begging for another match. What I’ve said to you repeatedly, I wish I could redo that match. I’m not begging for another match, I don’t want to wrestle again, I have no desire. I wish I had that match to do over again. [That’s] what I’ve said repeatedly. I just wish I could redo that.”
Flair is set to appear on RAW XXX (the 30th Anniversary show for WWE RAW) this week, along with other WWE legends.
