# 1 Virat Kohli’s First-ever T20I century
Virat Kohli had gone 1021 days without reaching the triple digits for India. After finally breaking that jinx against Afghanistan in the continental tournament, he also scored his first-ever T20I century. The tournament not only witnessed this milestone it also saw Virat playing his 100th T20I against the arch-rivals Pakistan. Kohli equaled Ricky Ponting for the second-most international hundreds.

King Kohli reached another milestone the same evening. Virat with his brilliant 112* passed over Rohit Sharma to reach the highest-ever individual score by an Indian in T20I cricket. Rohit Sharma, who had slammed 118(43) against Sri Lanka on December 22, 2017, applauded his fellow teammate for the milestone. Kohli also became the second man to cross the 3500-run mark in T20Is after Rohit Sharma.
# 3 Fourth Indian to score a century in all 3 formats
Virat Kohli with his knock of 112 became the fourth Indian to score a century in all formats of cricket, T20, Test as well as ODI. He joins Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul on the list. Moreover, Kohli became the sixth Indian to smash a T20I hundred, joining Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Suryakumar Yadav, and Deepak Hooda.
# 4 Bhuvneshwar Kumar breaks record for taking most wickets for India in T20I cricket
Team India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar broke the record for taking the most wickets for India in T20I cricket. The 32-year-old registered his career-best figures of 4-1-45 against Afghanistan in the dead rubber match. With this, he took his tally of wickets in T20I cricket to 84. He took over Yuzvendra Chahal, who has taken 83 wickets in T20Is.
# 5 Kohli became the 7th batter to cross 24,000 international runs

Along with the above-mentioned records, the Man of the Moment, Virat Kohli, became the seventh batter to cross 24,000 international runs. He is the third Indian to cross the mark after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Additionally, Kohli is the fastest to reach this milestone in 522 innings as he surpassed Tendulkar who reached the mark in 540 innings.
# 6 India defeated Afghanistan with the highest-ever total in Men’s T20 Asia Cup
India defeated Afghanistan by a massive margin. India recorded the highest-ever total of 212 for the loss of 2 wickets, in the men’s T20 Asia Cup history. This record was earlier held by Pakistan, as they had scored a ponderous total of 193/2 against Hong Honk in the same Asia Cup edition.
KL Rahul in the absence of Rohit Sharma led the team to this daunting victory. However, both Afghanistan, as well as India, are out of Asia Cup 2022 finals, as Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the final match. Nonetheless, both teams will look to move forward and prepare for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
