Denis Shapovalov vs Borna Coric Prediction, Head-to-Head, Preview and Live Stream- Vienna Open 2022

On Saturday, Denis Shapovalov and Borna Coric will square off in the semifinals of the 2022 Erste Bank Open.

After defeating Taylor Fritz and Jurij Rodionov, Shapovalov advanced to the quarterfinals where he faced Dan Evans. He broke serve to open the game, and he then increased his advantage to 2-0 by holding. Evans had an opportunity to return to serving in the sixth game, but he erred on his break point. Near the end of the first set, Shapovalov again broke the Brit’s serve to take the match. To win the match 6-3, 6-3, the Canadian stormed out to a 3-0 lead in the second set and held on to the advantage the entire time.

To advance to the final eight, where Hubert Hurkacz awaited him, Coric beat Quentin Halys and Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Croat took an early break to take a 3-1 set lead. He continued to be the front-runner and quickly won the set. In the second set, neither player was able to break the other’s serve, despite Hurkacz having a set point in the tenth game. Even though he missed an earlier chance, he was still able to win the set in the next tie-break. Hurkacz had a couple break point opportunities in the third set, but it ultimately proceeded to a tie-break, which the Croat won 6-4, 6-7(2), 7-6. (5).
