Sven Botman completes transfer to Newcastle; the club boosts up summer transfers

After Saudi ownership, Newcastle has made numerous transfers in building the club and recently closed a done deal with Sven Botman.

Newcastle have moved closer to signing Sven Botman from LOSC Lille. Lille have agreed the premier league team’s offer for the Dutch U21 defender, bringing a six-month pursuit to a close.

Newcastle is spending roughly £36 million for the gifted youngster. According to sources in Milan, Newcastle beat the Serie A champions to an agreement with the French club on Thursday night.

Newcastle bought Nick Pope previously this week, bringing their total outlay to £63 million.

Newcastle’s major signings after Saudi Ownership

Eddie Howie acquired England full-back Kieran Trippier and Brighton center-back Dan Burn in January.

Nick Pope, the England goalkeeper, joined Newcastle from Burnley before this week. Pope will be hoping for a solid start to the Premier League season in order to secure a spot in England’s World Cup team this winter.

Left-back Matt Targett joined on loan from Aston Villa and later he signed a contract extension.

Howe stated in April that the club will not be the “revolution that everyone believes it will be” this summer. The Magpies became one of the richest clubs in the world after a Saudi-backed purchase in October 2021.
