Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a professional American basketball player, who is currently a shooting guard in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Denver Nuggets. Caldwell Pope was born on February 18, 1993, in Thomaston, Georgia to parents Lawrence Pope and Rhonda Caldwell. Caldwell has two siblings, Trevon Pope (the other’s name is not known yet).
He attended Greenville High School in Greenville, Georgia and was popular during his high school days, as he averaged 31 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, helping the Patriots to the State Class A Final Four in 2011. He played his college basketball for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Detroit Pistons drafted him in 2013, and he joined the team for the 2013 NBA Summer League. He rejoined the Pistons the next year where, in five games, he averaged 24.0 points and 7.4 rebounds. He played a crucial role in helping the Pistons reach the playoffs since 2009 in the 2015-16 season.
In June 2017, he was suspended from two games after he was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The next month, the Pistons released him, and he became a free agent.
He signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers worth $8 million. But in December of that year, he was found guilty of a probation violation he committed during the summer that handed him a 25-day jail sentence. He failed to submit to the alcohol and drug testing, which was mandatory for the probation. But, he was allowed to play the home games under the work-release program.
In 2018, he re-signed the deal with the Lakers for one year for $12 million, and the next year he inked a two-year contract worth $16 million with the same team. He played an instrumental role in his first NBA championship when the Lakers beat Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals.
On November 23, 2020, he joined the Lakers again for a three-year for $40 million. He finally ended his stint with the Lakers when they traded him to Washington Wizards (on August 6, 2021) where Caldwell-Pope stayed for one year before he was traded to the Denver Nuggets for $30 million on July 6, 2022.

Caldwell-Pope is married to fashion designer McKenzie Caldwell-Pope after dating for three years. They met for the first time in a Dallas lounge, in Texas. Caldwell Pope played for the Pistons back then. In the Dallas lounge, Caldwell was enjoying his time with friends, while McKenzie was for a company event.
Three years after tieing the knot, the couple welcomed their son, Ken Jr., in 2017. McKenzie also has a son, Kenzo, from her previous relationship.
