Manchester United have made an incredible offer to Wolves in order to sign Ruben Neves who could surely be the answer to their midfield problems. Recently Ten Hag met super-agent Jorge Mendes and after the meeting, everyone thought it was for the signing of Darwin Nunez, but now that the Uruguayan has signed for Liverpool, it is heavily reported in Portugal that the meeting was held to discuss the possibility of signing Neves. It is believed that it is Erik Ten Hag’s dream to set a midfield containing the spectacular duo of Frenkie De Jong and Ruben Neves as he thinks that both of them together could form a legacy at United.

Wolves consider United’s deal a very attractive one and they are now open to the possibility of selling the Portuguese. Previously the English club received very unattractive offers from the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona and hence they were not in favour to sell Neves. But this clearly shows that Neves has interest from the elite clubs and definitely under a good team and a good manager, he could turn into a legendary midfielder. But there’s no doubt United will do everything possible to complete this deal as they know they can’t afford to have another season like they did this year. The squad overhaul has already started with the likes of Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba already leaving the club on a free.
It is expected to be a long and tough summer transfer window for Ten Hag as it is believed that he is looking to sign at least 3 to 4 players this window and it won’t be a surprise that Neves could be the first of them all. Improving the midfield is definitely at the top of his list as the midfield is like the engine of a team in a football game and so obviously it needs to be very strong and good. All in all, if the hierarchy of Manchester United do manage to sign both De Jong and Neves, it could be one of the best transfer windows they ever might have had.
