FC Barcelona Transfer News: FC Barcelona rope in onto Franck Kessie on a pre-contract deal away from AC Milan

Franck Kessie has become the first signing of the Spanish heavyweights for the 2022/23 season.

AC Milan star Franck Kessie has finally agreed a deal with Barcelona over his switch to the Spanish side. Kessie’s contract was expiring this May and he wanted a move away from AC Milan and FC Barcelona reacted quickly and provided him with a pre-contract and signed him for free. AC Milan would be unhappy to have not made a single penny out of such a wonderful talent and would now find it difficult to get a proper replacement in that defensive midfield position. Kessie signs for the Spanish side FC Barcelona on a four-year deal. He is a top talent and a lot clubs around Europe were looking to pounce on for him but he decided his move to the Camp Nou. He was a great player for his now ex-side AC Milan playing over 220+ games and providing over 50+ goal contributions will look to add his productivity into the FC Barcelona midfield now and Xavi Hernandez knows what a talent he is and will look to bring the best out of him in the coming years.

Franck Kessie Wage and Transfer Fee 2022:

Franck Kessie has become the first signing of the Spanish heavyweights for the 2022/23 season. With Sergio Busquets turning 34 this July and Barcelona lacking depth in the midfield area, Xavi Hernandez knew he had to sign a brilliant player in Kessie who would be a great addition for his team in the midfield and reacted quickly to sign him up on a pre-contract deal allowing him a salary of €6.5 million per year keeping him at the club until 2026.

Huge boost for FC Barcelona in the midfield:

With Kessie in the squad, it will give Xavi Hernandez a huge boost in the midfield. He will be pairing up with exciting midfield lineup of Pedri, Frenkie De Jong, Sergio Busquests, Rique Puig and the stunning youngstar duo of Gavi and Nico Gonzalez the next season.

Problems for AC Milan:

With Kessie gone and rumors about Simon Kjaer set for to leave the club, it will be a hard summer transfer window for Stefano Pioli side to find a proper replacement. There are talks that AC Milan are trying to bring Gianluca Scamacca, Sven Botman and Gleison Bremer into their side but only time will tell if the Italian heavyweights can bag some good signings this summer. AC Milan have already made a deal with Divock Origi who is signing on a free transfer deal from Liverpool and talks about Marco Asensio, Isco and Renato Sanches are still active.
