Serbian international Luka Jovic is set to sign a permanent deal with Italian giants Fiorentina, in a bid to try and boost his confidence after a forgettable spell at Real Madrid. It is reported to be a free transfer with 50% sell-on clause, as mentioned by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Jovic signed with Real Madrid for a whopping €60 million, signing a six-year contract. During his time there, he only scored three goals in 36 league appearances and was loaned back out to Frankfurt in the 2021 winter transfer window. In Madrid, Jovic never gained Zinedine Zidane’s confidence and spent the majority of his time on the bench. Additionally, he couldn’t help but cut a disappointing figure whenever he did get the call-up.
