According to widespread reports in England, both Arsenal and Tottenham are looking to battle it out this summer to sign Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian is looking to leave his club soon as he will be ending the final year of his contract in 2024. He joined the Premier League champions in 2016 from a Brazilian club and since then he has had a successful career at Manchester cause he has won many trophies with them. But now with the World Cup coming up later this year, he feels that he needs to play regularly in order to join the Brazilian squad which will go for the World Cup.

Arsenal are well known to be interested in the striker as his agent has already said that they have formally held talks with the Gunners. But Spurs are now ramping up their interest in Jesus with him being the potential replacement for Kane if he leaves. The striker could reportedly cost around 60 Million which is possible for Spurs as they recently announced that they have given an astronomical amount of 150 Million Pounds to Antonio Conte for the use of potential transfers.
Spurs may do have the edge of Arsenal as Jesus would like to play in a Champions League team. However, the Gunners feel that the good relationship between Jesus and Arteta that they generated when Arteta was the assistant coach at City and the striker played under him could be the decisive factor for the Brazilian to choose Arsenal. Anyway, next season City have already signed 2 strikers in the form of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez which clearly indicates a lack of game-time for Jesus. All in all, it’s very likely that the Brazilian would leave his club this summer and may certainly go to a North-London club.
