According to widespreadreports in the English media, Chelsea are expected to submit a bid to Sevilla soon for the signing of Jules Kounde. Chelsea are also expected to have a busy summer transfer window this time as the new ownership deal is set to be confirmed in just a few days. It is being said that Thomas Tuchel would be provided with about 200 Million Pounds this window to be able to improve the squad and have depth so that the new era under him starts right away. At the moment they are looking for a blockbuster signing and Kounde could certainly be that signing.

The French defender is currently their top transfer target for the coming window, but they surely know that it won’t be an easy or a cheap deal with the La Liga side cause Sevilla are not looking to sell the defender unless his release clause his paid which is set at an astronomical amount of 80 Million Euros. But the London Club definitely need new defenders in their backline because already Antonio Rudiger is on his way to Real Madrid and it is also reported that Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso and Cesar Asplicueta are forcing for a move to the Spanish giants Barcelona.
So Tuchel could really look at Kounde to make him his lead defender for the next few years at Chelsea. The Frenchman has recently been a key player for Sevilla as he played a critical role in their run to play Champions League, he has also established himself in the French National team making himself lead candidate to pair alongside Raphael Varane in their backline. All in all, he would be a great addition in Tuchel’s team and Chelsea would be hoping to complete this deal as soon as possible and start a new era.
